About the BRIT Conference Series

Since 1994, the Border Regions in Transition (BRIT) Conferences have been among the leading international scientific gatherings dedicated to interdisciplinary research on borders and borderlands.

Hosted in diverse locations around the world, BRIT provides a global forum for scholars investigating borders and their social, cultural, political, economic, and spatial implications, regardless of disciplinary background, methodological approach, or geographical focus.
